Donnie and the Monsters, the new “sock puppet play for grown-ups” at Horse Trade Theater Group’s Under St. Marks space is the top show of the week, based on number of “hits” from nytheatre.com readers. Check out Hannah Gold’s rave review.
Number 2 on the list is the Richard Maxwell-directed play Vision Disturbance.
Number 3 is the comedy It Must Be Him, which stars Peter Scolari and Liz Torres.
In fourth place is Better Lucky Than Dead, which just completed a run at Manhattan Theatre Source.
And rounding out the top five is Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods, a new play by Tammy Ryan at Premiere Stages in New Jersey.

DONNIE AND THE MONSTERS sounds like an intriguing cross between TOY STORY and CORALINE (the recent Stephen Merritt and David Greenspan musical). Thoughts from those who have seen both DONNIE and CORALINE?
